Ten Bonus games that should get full releases

01/03/2010

 1. Triple Triad - Final Fantasy 8

A bonus card game located within the PS1 classic, an online multiplayer version of this game has all the makings of a sure hit. Battle other players online, trade cards or just watch other people playing could unique features to a full release.

2. My Blaster Runs hot – Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time

This secret Twin Stick shooter from Insomniac has very cool retro visuals and an interesting weapon charge mechanic. A full release with multiple weapons and more stages/enemies would make for a great downloadable title.

3. The Mercenaries – Resident Evil (series)

A bonus mode where players must kill hordes of enemies to score as high as possible before the timer runs out. This is one of my favourite online gaming experiences of the past year. A full release that included more maps, characters, weapons and game modes would be very welcome indeed.

4. Fishing - Zelda the Twilight princess

Sure there are a ton of Fishing games out there but none are as engrossing as this one. Taking time out from saving the world to sail around in a canoe and catch fish is very refreshing and full release would be better than the last Zelda spin-off title, Links Crossbow Training.

5. Sex Minigame – God of War

LOL never going to happen, a larger title with HD visuals (Heavy Rain quality) motion controls and multiplayer and you’ve got yourself a title that would probably be banned all over the world, but it would be quite a laugh indeed.

6. Bonus stages – Street Fighter 2 and 3

Wether your beating up a car, parrying basketballs or fighting burning oil drums the Bonus stages from the Street Fighter series are a lot of fun. A downloadable title based on these stages with challenges, leaderboard and perhaps multiplayer would make for a great title.

7. Nazi Zombies – Call of Duty World at War

If there was anyone thing I was expecting to come out of Treyarchs Call Of Duty World at War it wasnt this, but what a lot of fun it is. Essentially a survival mode where players must fend off hordes of zombies whilst earning points that can be used to purchase new weapons. A downloadable title that brought new maps, enemies, weapons and games modes would definitely sell for sure.

8. Chocobo Racing- Final Fantasy 7

The breeding and Racing mini game from Squares classic PS1 title was a lot of fun. A downloadable title that featured multiplayer, animal trading/breeding (with other players) and more varied tracks could make for a very interesting game. Being Final Fantasy it would sell like crazy too.

9. 2D bonus stage – Me And My Katamari

A quirky 2D take on the already strange world of Katamari, this would make for a great title for portable systems at a budget price.

10. Metal Gear Flash – Metal Gear Solid 4 (WEBSITE)

A promotional title created to publicise MGS4 before its release, it’s a 2D side scrolling flash puzzle game with a lot of charm. A downloadable title with more varied locations, weapons and enemies could make for one great pick up title.
