Picked this up not too long back, even after playing it quite a bit I’m still unsure how I feel about the game. There have been times when I really liked the title and then others when I wanted to kick by PS3, remove the game disc and smash it to pieces.

The game has some cool elements, such as the swinging ability of your character and the amazing feeling of freedom you get when moving around some of the environments. The game also has some really annoying things, such as the lack of ammo at times, irradiated areas that kill you almost instantly if you venture to far into them (these replace the usually used invisible wallsthat are used to prevent players from going to far in the wrong direction), your characters inability to swim (fall into water and your pretty much dead) and of course the main characters design. The game has challenges to do and collectibles to find, however you need to do all of these in one play through (in order to get the trophy/achievements) if you miss any of them you cant go back to an earlier stage  you have to start a new game which is really annoying and seems like a really stupid design decision.

In my opinion the game is crying out to be set in an open world setting rather than the fairly linear level structure it has now. The game is really fun until your reminded that your not actually in a big open world but you’re in fact trapped inside a confined space with a set path to follow. With the success of InFamous (and more than likely Prototype) its a shame Bionic commando wasn’t set in an open world also.

There is a multiplayer mode which seems OK but it didn’t appear to have a great deal of depth which is really disappointing as I fell more could have been done with this mode.

If your a fan of the series or a really patient gamer then maybe give this a try but if your easily frustrated don’t bother as you’ll end breaking something in response to the game.

Been playing this a lot over the last week, it’s a really good game and a great exclusive title for Sony. It breathes fresh life into a tired and overcrowded genre, if your a fan of superhero games or open world games then give it a try.

There are a few repeated missions but that’s not really a big deal to be honest, the game allows gamers to be a hero or an InFamous villain each decision has a slight impact on the story line. The storyline while a little predictable and maybe not the greatest one I have ever experienced was fairly well delivered and seems to focus on the changes the main character and his personality seem to go through as he gains new powers. The story is delivered through a mix of in game cut scenes and comic book like storyboard scenes (with voice overs). Mirrors Edge had a similar method of delivering its plot which I didn’t really think work that well with that title but with InFamous I really like the way the cut scenes were handled.

Having paid full price for the game I can honestly say it was worth the price tag, the game has plenty to do, a very good reason replay the title (ggod and evil playthroughs) and seriously good gameplay.

There is a demo up on PSN if your not to sure about buying the title.

Great work sucker Punch!

I played through this over the weekend, Its not a terrible game at all, but its definetley not worth the full price tag. I managed to clear the game in about 3-4 hours and I picked up all the trophies in one play through (as they are really easy to get). I played on my own as the game only supports local co-op but if you team up with a pal I imagine the game would be more fun and probably a lot easier too.

If you a fan of the Terminator franchise, looking for a decent third person shooter to play or some easy trophies/achievements to get then give this one a rent.

Picked this up on steam for less than £7 last week and never bothered playing it untill earlier this week. Its by far the best £7 I have spent in a long time.

The game is a tower defense game by pop cap games, Zombies are invading your garden and you need to fight them off using plants (of all things). The game is really fun, oozing with charm and character and is fairly easy to get into (for casual gamers) but has a lot of replay value to (for the more hardcore gamer).

Its £6.99 now on steam and is well worth your money.

Check out the gameplay trailer below.

I just got my hands on the demo of Marvel Versus Capcom 2 from the US PSN store, the demo weighs in at just under 200mb and allows gamers to sample the games versus mode. There is no online mode or single player mode in the demo. With it being 11pm here in the UK I had no one around to play against so I had to get out my second pad and pummel the second player who didn’t put up much of a fight (obviously).

There is a selection of six characters to use in the demo out of the fifty-six that are available in the full version, with six selectable stages also available. Three characters from the Capcom side Ryu, Chun-Li and Strider hiryu are joined by three from the Marvel Side Spiderman, Wolverine and Ironman.

The sprites although not re-drawn still look pretty good, with three sprite filters being available from the options. These filters are classic (pixelated), Smooth, and Crisp (which didn’t seem that different), the latter two are definitely an improvement over classic. The backgrounds however being totally 3d look incredibly crisp indeed.

The game is exactly how you remember it, three versus three character battles with players being able to summon their team mates for impressive combo moves.

Having owned the original version on Dreamcast I wasn’t that interested in purchasing the PSN version (especially after I heard it was £11.99) but after playing around with the demo I can say I’ll be buying this as soon as it hits the PSN store. Nothing beats playing as spiderman and beating the living day lights out of Capcom and Marvels finest, I just need someone to play the demo with me now.

The demo is available right now from the US PSN store.

Picked this up about a week back, its only available on import right now but its worth picking up (the asian version is in full english). The game is incredibly deep, has a “one more more go” feel to it. The game is pretty hard at first but once you get the hang of it your hooked. The game is a single player and multi-player experience with a very unique take on multi-player.

I clocked up thirty hours in my first three days of owning this game and I’m still not done with it yet (at about fifty five hours right now). I didn’t intend on doing reviews on this blog but i feel this deserves some sort of proper right up (to follow) as its awesome. If your into action adventure/rpg’s then you’ll love this. Leave your PSN id’s in the message section if you have the game and I’ll add you as a Friend for some co-op fun.
